The aim is to foster innovation and sustainability through the valorization of biomass and agri-food by-products. Selected projects may receive funding for both food and non-food applications, including digitalization and the development of new technologies.
The call is primarily aimed at SMEs in the agri-food sector, food processing companies, businesses in the cosmetic and nutraceutical sectors, as well as technology companies developing solutions for waste valorization.
Projects must have a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of TRL 6 and a maximum duration of 12 months. Applications can be submitted individually, with grants up to €60,000, or in consortia of up to three SMEs, with maximum funding of €90,000. Collaborative projects require a minimum of 15% private co-financing.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 20, 2026. This represents a significant opportunity for companies looking to convert waste into new business lines and more sustainable processes.
