The company Gomà-Camps has opened a new call for a paid scholarship in La Riba, aimed at students of the Master's Degree in Paper and Graphic Technology at the UPC.

The initiative aims to foster young talent and facilitate the integration of new qualified technical profiles into a sector key to the circular economy. The scholarship will allow a student to undertake their internship and Master's Final Project at the company's plant in La Riba, focusing on recycled paper manufacturing processes and industrial innovation.
This opportunity, part of the scholarship program by ASPAPEL (Spanish Association of Pulp, Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers), includes master's degree funding, a financial remuneration, and the chance to train in a real industrial environment. The student will gain firsthand knowledge of the complete recycled paper manufacturing process and collaborate with specialized teams.
In the last six years, 56 students have completed this master's degree, with 90% benefiting from scholarships in paper sector companies. The CEO of Gomà-Camps, who prefers not to be identified due to privacy rules, emphasizes the importance of investing in young talent to ensure the industry's future and advance innovation and sustainability. "This scholarship allows us to bring students closer to the industrial reality of the paper sector and contribute to training highly qualified professionals from the region," she stated.
The company believes that such initiatives are crucial for training specialized technical profiles in an industry with a strong sustainable vocation, capable of facing future environmental and technological challenges. The project in La Riba will involve technical analysis tasks and continuous improvement of processes.
