The Chamber of Commerce of Lleida held its 18th Chamber Night at the Raimat Wineries, exceeding expectations with 370 participants, including business owners, professionals, and institutional representatives. This year's event, held outside the capital for the first time, aims to bring the Chamber's activities closer to different parts of the province and increase visibility for the Terres de Lleida region.
The annual event's primary objective is to provide a networking space to foster the exchange of experiences, contacts, and collaboration opportunities among the business community.
Jaume Saltó, president of the Chamber, emphasized the resilience of Lleida's businesses in the face of a challenging economic and geopolitical climate. He noted that despite international uncertainties, companies in the region continue to innovate and create opportunities.
President Saltó's main concern is the shortage of talent. "We need to align the educational sector with the needs of the region's business market," he stated, stressing the importance of adapting training to labour demands.
“"We look for potential clients outside, without realizing that often they are right here."
The evening's keynote address was delivered by Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, an entrepreneur and communicator known for her role in MasterChef. In her talk, "The Glass Half Full," she shared her personal and professional experiences, conveying a message of optimism and perseverance, focusing on adaptability and attitude in facing challenges and seizing opportunities.
