More than 300 university students have convened at Barcelona Activa's Technology Park, in Nou Barris, to devise innovative solutions addressing Barcelona's future climate challenges.

This event, known as Interhack BCN, has transformed the city into a European benchmark for digital talent throughout the weekend. The hackathon saw participation from students of Barcelona's four public universities: the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Universitat de Barcelona, the Universitat Politècnica, and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
For 36 hours, teams of three to five individuals from various disciplines worked intensively on project development. These projects focused on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and automation, in a marathon dedicated to fostering collaborative work and creating innovative proposals.

"It's a perfect opportunity to harness all this talent and the energy young people have for two non-stop days."

The presented proposals are diverse and aim to directly impact the city's daily life. For instance, one team has promoted a project to optimize goods delivery logistics, while another has focused on making urban intersections more efficient.
A multidisciplinary jury will be responsible for awarding the best ideas with various prizes, including financial endowments starting from 3,000 euros, a significant incentive for the participating university students.
