Canary Banana has once again been recognized as the most consumed fruit and vegetable brand in Spanish households, according to Kantar's Brand Footprint 2026 report.

Once again, Canary Banana stands as the preferred fruit and vegetable brand for Spanish consumers, as revealed by the ‘Brand Footprint 2026’ study from consultancy firm Kantar. This report, which analyzes the global fast-moving consumer goods market, highlights the continued trust placed in this Protected Geographical Indication originating from the Canary Islands.
The report, presented this week by Worldpanel by Numerator, confirms Canary Banana's leadership in the fruit and vegetable sector in Spain, a position it has held uninterruptedly since the study began its measurements. The data reflects 298.9 million purchasing acts, 17.0 million buyers, and a frequency of 17.6 purchases, figures that underscore its prominence in the category.
This success is attributed to decades of consistent work, environmentally friendly cultivation practices, and adherence to the highest European Union standards. Despite price pressures and growing competition from imported fruits with lower phytosanitary requirements, Spanish consumers continue to choose Canary bananas.

"This recognition, derived from objective market data, is the result of the trust that millions of families place daily in the work of banana farmers, and also thanks to the collective structure of Canary Banana. That the brand for everyone continues to lead in such a competitive environment is, without a doubt, a sign that there is a consumer who knows and highly values the importance of quality nutrition in all senses."
