The town of La Orotava welcomes a new business association, ‘Impulsa La Orotava’, officially launched today, aiming to represent and promote the interests of local entrepreneurs.

The new entity, ‘Impulsa La Orotava’, is established with the mission to represent, unite, defend, and promote the interests of the municipality's business community. It seeks to foster collaboration among companies and create a unified voice before public administrations. The launch event took place in the main hall of the Casa Consistorial, attended by the mayor, Francisco Linares, trade councilor Deisy Ramos, and the Association's president, Vicente Santos Luis, along with other representatives.
President Vicente Santos Luis highlighted that key objectives include representing business interests, promoting cooperation, knowledge exchange, joint initiatives, and contributing to local economic revitalization. ‘Impulsa La Orotava’ aims to be a close and constructive partner with administrations, encouraging active participation from the business sector in decisions affecting the municipality's development.
The association has outlined a quarterly action plan. Following its official constitution and corporate image launch, 'Impulsa La Orotava' will focus on actively recruiting members and hosting its first business conference. By the end of the year, plans include direct collaboration on local commercial campaigns and the development of a strategic plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
Impulsa La Orotava’ will offer its members services focused on visibility and digital growth, such as active promotion through digital platforms, a dedicated promotional space for associated businesses, and training resources to enhance competitiveness. The corporate image pays homage to local tradition, integrating Canarian architecture with colors reflecting professionalism, sustainability, and local roots.
The Board of Directors comprises Vicente José Santos Luis (president), Alejandro Mesa (vice-president), Montserrat Domínguez (secretary), Germán Domínguez (treasurer), and Javier Sprungmann Lechado (member). They will work to establish an open, participatory, and accessible association capable of channeling business concerns and proposals, and fostering new collaborations across the municipality's economic sectors.
The guiding values of this new project are collaboration, transparency, commitment, accessibility, and professionalism. These principles form the foundation for an association dedicated to addressing the real needs of businesses and professionals in La Orotava. Establishing permanent dialogue channels with the La Orotava Town Hall and other administrations is considered crucial for jointly seeking solutions and improving the municipal business and economic environment.
Mayor Francisco Linares and Councilor Deisy Ramos support the initiative, emphasizing the importance of business associations as direct and constructive interlocutors. Linares highlighted that associativism is key to revitalizing the local economy, coordinating commercial campaigns, and designing public policies aligned with the productive sector's needs.
