As of Monday, September 7, the miCitaPrevia and miHistoria applications are no longer operational as independent apps. Users of these tools will be redirected to miSCS to continue managing their health-related procedures. The new version of miSCS allows users to request, consult, modify, and cancel Primary Care appointments, as well as access their clinical history, medical reports, and other relevant health information.
The Canarian Health Service believes this unification significantly simplifies citizens' access to its digital services by eliminating the need to maintain multiple installed applications and concentrating the main features in a single access point.
To mark the suspension of the previous applications, the SCS has launched an awareness campaign to promote the use of miSCS. This initiative includes the distribution of explanatory infographics on the screens of public health centers and hospitals in Canarias, as well as on the social media channels of the Ministry of Health and the Canarias Saludable platform.
The miSCS application already offered a wide range of functionalities, such as access to personal clinical information, diagnostic test results, treatment plans, medication information, allergies, vital signs, health habits, vaccinations, and medical history. It now complements these with features from miCitaPrevia and miHistoria, including Primary Care appointment management and detailed consultation of clinical history.
For optimal use, users are advised to update the application to its latest version. Those who do not yet have miSCS can download it for Android and iOS devices. All information is available at www.miscs.org.
The application ensures secure access to information through identification mechanisms such as the Individual Health Card (TSI) number and the Secure Verification Code (CSV) for appointments, and miIdentidad Digital, digital certificate, or Cl@ve for clinical history. The Virtual TSI is also integrated, facilitating access to services and the management of authorized persons through misFavoritos.
This integration represents a step forward in simplifying and unifying the SCS's digital services, aiming to improve the user experience, especially for those less familiar with digital tools. For technical support, users can contact miscs.scs@gobiernodecanarias.org.
