The Fuerteventura Island Tourism Board has begun its participation in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London with an institutional agenda focused on bilateral meetings with European tourism companies and tour operators.

The Vice President of the Board and Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo, Marlene Figueroa, held meetings with companies such as Via Sale Hungary, TUI UK, Thalasso nº1 France, Karavel-Promovacances France, and Easyjet UK. Fuerteventura's participation takes place under the umbrella of Turismo Islas Canarias, at the institutional stand of Promotur Canarias, alongside the tourist municipalities of Antigua, La Oliva, and Pájara, and local tourism entrepreneurs from the island.
The island faces the 2026/27 winter season with an offering of 442,672 regular airline seats from the United Kingdom, which is consolidated as the main source market. Marlene Figueroa emphasized the importance of WTM to "sit down with those who plan and sell Fuerteventura in their markets" and "compare winter prospects with them" to "refine destination promotion".
The minister highlighted that the number of airline seats from the United Kingdom for this winter "is a solid base for the conversations of these days." The Board's agenda at the fair will continue with new bilateral meetings until its closing on November 5th.
