The seventh edition of ExpoCofarca, organized by Cofarca, has concluded in Gran Canaria, reaffirming its status as the leading professional forum for the pharmaceutical sector in the Canary Islands and a key meeting point for the industry in the province of Las Palmas.

The two-day event attracted over 400 professionals on its inaugural day. It featured significant participation from pharmaceutical industry representatives, pharmacy owners, professional teams, and service companies linked to the sector.
Under the theme “The Art of Distribution,” ExpoCofarca brought together more than 50 laboratories and exhibiting companies. The space was designed to foster professional relationships with pharmacies, facilitate knowledge exchange, and provide access to the latest trends and innovations in the pharmaceutical field.
Following an initial day dedicated to the institutional inauguration and the opening of exhibition areas, ExpoCofarca's program focused on specialized training, innovation, and professional development for pharmacies. Key topics included sessions on responsive counter service and the application of Artificial Intelligence in pharmacies, aiming to enhance patient experience and optimize care processes.
The training program also addressed pharmaceutical care for elderly patients and animal health, both increasingly relevant areas that strengthen the community pharmacy's capacity for care. In addition to commercial activities, ExpoCofarca incorporated experiential spaces to promote interaction among industry, distribution, and pharmacies, highlighting the Canary Islands cooperative's commitment to a model that ensures efficient and safe delivery of medicines to all island patients.
The 2026 edition of ExpoCofarca once again underscored the importance of the cooperative model and full-range pharmaceutical distribution for the Canary Islands healthcare system, solidifying this biennial fair as a benchmark for training, innovation, and connection among all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector.
