Enrique García-Arroba appointed new director of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The Board of Directors approves the appointment of García-Arroba, an engineer with experience in the entity, replacing Pablo Nieto Sanz.

The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has appointed Enrique García-Arroba Peinado as the new director of the entity, replacing Pablo Nieto Sanz for personal reasons.

The appointment proposal, presented by the president of the Port Authority, Pedro Suárez, received the support of the attending board members, who also expressed their gratitude to Pablo Nieto for his work since February 2024.
Pedro Suárez highlighted that the appointment of Enrique García-Arroba "guarantees experience and technical solvency," emphasizing that "his trajectory within this entity and his deep knowledge of our ports, infrastructures, and strategic projects represent significant value for facing this new stage."
García-Arroba holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a master's degree in Ports and Coasts from the University of La Laguna. His training also includes specialized courses in port regulations, operations, services, and strategy, as well as qualifications as a judicial expert in Engineering.
Since joining the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 2019, specifically in the Infrastructure area, he has participated in the management and construction supervision of nearly twenty projects in the province's ports. These include the reinforcement of the breakwater at the port of Los Cristianos, the rehabilitation of the East Breakwater in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and projects for maritime defense and energy efficiency.
Previously, Enrique García-Arroba worked as a site manager for FCC Construcción in Tenerife, overseeing projects valued at over 170 million euros for organizations such as the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Islands Health Service.
