A significant employment opportunity has arisen in the archipelago with the official publication this Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the Official State Gazette (BOE), of the call to fill a total of 37 job positions at the Cabildo de Tenerife. This selection process will be conducted through a competition system, offering a direct route for professionals seeking to consolidate their careers in the public administration of the Canary Islands without undergoing a traditional competitive examination.
The administrative resolution, signed by the insular director of Human Resources, Public Service, and Digital Transformation, initiates the reception of candidacies for various technical areas of the corporation, based on the specific bases previously published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP).
The offered positions are distributed across different professional profiles of higher and medium grade. These include 16 positions for Technical Public Works Engineers, 10 for Higher Grade Technicians in Economy, Employment, and Local Development, 5 for Higher Grade Engineers in Agrarian and Environmental Infrastructures, and 6 for Higher Grade Technicians in Occupational Risk Prevention. The aim is to strengthen key areas such as economic development, primary sector infrastructure, and workplace safety.
Aspiring candidates have a period of 15 working days to submit their applications, starting from the day after the publication in the BOE. As this is a competition-based process, the evaluation of merits such as experience, complementary training, and academic qualifications will be decisive for the allocation of positions.
