This innovative tool allows for detailed tracking of traffic conditions in key areas such as Portal de Castilla, Zaramaga, and Salburua. The panel integrates the camera network of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council into an interactive map, offering advanced functionalities for users.
The new platform features a multi-screen view, where users can select up to four points on the map and view them simultaneously. Additionally, the Timelapse function automatically generates an animation of the last 40 minutes from each camera, showing the evolution of traffic flow or congestion over time.
It also includes full synchronization via an interactive timeline, allowing users to «rewind» simultaneously across all cameras being viewed to pinpoint the exact time a traffic jam began. This tool is free and optimized for use on both computers and mobile phones.
The system is specifically designed as a vehicle flow monitoring tool. The refresh rate (jumpy timelapse) and compression ensure that the tool is useful for viewing road conditions without compromising the individual privacy of drivers or pedestrians.
