The Villa del Río City Council has distributed grants to five new local self-employed individuals as part of the 2026 Self-Employment Promotion Plan, supporting business creation and economic activity in the municipality.

The Economic Development department of the Villa del Río City Council has announced the recent distribution of grants for new self-employed individuals. Mayor Jesús Morales Molina, accompanied by second deputy mayor Almudena Mantilla, personally visited the beneficiary businesses to learn about their activities and projects.
The five new businesses and activities receiving support include a Market Bar, a men's barbershop, a bar-cafeteria, a garden design and maintenance company (Paisafont), and a professional management office for teaching staff.
The mayor explained that these grants, part of the Municipal Economic Development Plan, provide an initial aid of 1,200 euros for those starting a new business. After one year as self-employed, they can apply for an additional grant of 500 euros for material investment.
This program aims to stimulate the economy of Villa del Río, encourage new business initiatives, and support local commerce and services, recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit of its residents.
