Unei has reached a historic milestone on its 35th anniversary, concluding the 2025 fiscal year with record figures in both revenue and employment. The company has registered a turnover of 38.5 million euros, representing a growth of nearly 20% compared to the previous year. Furthermore, its workforce has expanded to 2,000 people, with the creation of 350 new jobs, a 22% increase.
The CEO of Unei, Rafael Cía, highlighted that these results are the outcome of a decade of transformation that has enabled the project to scale. Over the past ten years, the company has quadrupled its turnover and tripled its employee numbers, reinvesting 100% of its profits to enhance its social impact.
Unei's structure is defined by its social base: 87% of the workforce has some form of disability, and 50% experiences mental health challenges. Cía asserts that this diversity is a competitive advantage and a fundamental part of its value proposition.
Profitability accompanies this growth, with an EBITDA of 4.6 million euros, equivalent to 12% of sales, which, according to the executive, confirms the solidity and competitiveness of the business model.
Integrated logistics is the engine of growth, accounting for over 60% of the business. This area includes value-added operations in technology, telecare, and team management for public and private clients. In 2025, Unei handled over 9 million product manipulations, managed 750,000 calls, and reconditioned 150,000 devices, reflecting progress towards more technically complex services.
Operational expansion has been driven by new infrastructure, with the addition of 5,000 square meters in Dos Hermanas, Granada, Jerez, and Jaén, bringing the logistics network to over 30,000 square meters in Andalusia. Other areas such as auxiliary services, environmental services, and telecare diversify the activity and provide stability.
The commemoration of the 35th anniversary, according to Rafael Cía, is a strategic milestone demonstrating that disability can generate economic and social value. The celebration events will unfold throughout 2026, starting with an event focused on the human team and culminating in a business and institutional gala in Seville on November 26th.
Unei aims to convey the message that 'another way of doing business is possible,' based on growth, differentiation, and social impact. Founded to facilitate the labor inclusion of individuals with mental health issues, the company has established itself as a significant player in the Andalusian social economy.
Unei's social impact is quantified at over 4 euros of return for every euro invoiced, totaling 162 million euros in positive impact in Andalusia. The company reinvests 100% of its profits to sustain activity and employment growth.
The Ágora strategic plan (2026-2029) sets a growth target of 30% in turnover and employment, leveraging new technologies and artificial intelligence to improve processes and eliminate barriers, always prioritizing the enhancement of human capabilities. The company anticipates maintaining double-digit growth in 2026, without ruling out geographical expansion if it adds value, adhering to the principle that economic growth and social impact can advance together.
