The container terminal TTI Algeciras will integrate technological solutions and the digital twin from South Korean company CyberLogitec in its expansion project at the Isla Verde Exterior quay in the Port of Algeciras.

TTI Algeciras will implement the OPUS Terminal operating system and the digital twin platform from CyberLogitec for the expansion of its semi-automated terminal. This technological agreement aims to optimize the management of vessel, yard, gate, and equipment operations.
The digital twin platform will provide real-time visualization of the terminal's activity, allowing operators to simulate scenarios and facilitate data-driven decision-making. The expansion of TTI Algeciras in phase B of the Isla Verde Exterior quay will add 15.9 hectares to the current 30.
The company has executed a capital increase of 70 million euros to finance this project, which has an estimated budget of 135 million euros. The expansion will increase the handling capacity by half a million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), reaching 2.1 million TEUs.
The investment will primarily be used for the acquisition of two quay cranes and 12 automated yard cranes, in addition to six shuttle carriers and the upgrade of the operating system. A second expansion phase could add another half a million containers in the future.
