The Provincial Council of Málaga has launched a new subsidy program with 500,000 euros to support companies and self-employed individuals in Ronda in hiring unemployed people. Applications are open until July 20th.

The municipal delegate for SMEs of the Ronda City Council, María del Carmen Martínez, has announced a funding line from the Provincial Council of Málaga aimed at companies, self-employed individuals, and professionals. The primary objective is to foster job creation and stimulate the local economy by hiring unemployed individuals.
This initiative has a total budget of 500,000 euros, with the application period closing on July 20th. The subsidies cover both permanent and temporary contracts of at least six months duration.
Subsidy amounts vary based on contract type and the worker's age. For full-time permanent contracts, aid reaches 9,000 euros for unemployed individuals up to 44 years old and 12,000 euros for those over 45. For temporary contracts, amounts start at 2,250 euros and 3,000 euros, respectively, with potential increases for contracts extending up to twelve months.
Since 2023, this provincial program has facilitated over 215 contracts, with an investment exceeding two million euros. The municipal representative encouraged companies and self-employed individuals in Ronda to apply for these grants through the Málaga Provincial Council's employment platform, highlighting the benefits for both the integration of unemployed individuals into the labor market and the economic growth of the municipality.
