The regional project REGEN4ANDALUCIA, developed within the framework of the ceiA3 International Agri-food Campus of Excellence, responds to the critical problem of soil degradation in the Andalusian agricultural sector. Utilizing the Living Lab methodology, the initiative promotes an open innovation ecosystem that integrates the scientific community, administrations, the territory, companies, and producers.
The main objective is to transform traditional production systems by implementing conservation and regenerative agriculture (CA/RA) practices. The project partners highlight the joint effort to address the sector's needs, considering the real-world conditions of producers.
The aim is not only to restore the soil's biological health but also to ensure the socio-economic sustainability of the territories. This will be facilitated through technological tools and training actions that promote the adoption of sustainable practices at a regional level, improving the environment without compromising food production.
REGEN4ANDALUCIA is conceived as an opportunity to give voice to producers, researchers, and public administration, merging academic knowledge, agricultural practice, and the expertise in transfer that ceiA3 provides. The project aims to be a driving force for a more sustainable, competitive, and future-oriented Andalusian agriculture.
