The municipality is positioned among the few town councils in Los Pedroches and the province of Córdoba that simultaneously meet both parameters, reinforcing a trajectory marked by zero debt, surplus, and financial solvency.
This data places Pozoblanco in a prominent position within the Los Pedroches region. Out of its 17 municipalities, only 4 meet both criteria simultaneously. The provincial comparison also positions it favorably among the larger population municipalities in Córdoba.
Mayor Santiago Cabello highlighted that these results confirm the City Council's economic solidity and are the product of management based on planning, responsibility, and control of public resources. He recalled that the municipal accounts for 2025 closed with a positive result close to 4.5 million euros, over 13.3 million in total reserves, and zero municipal debt.
Cabello stated that complying with budgetary stability and the spending rule allows for important investments without compromising Pozoblanco's economic future. These indicators are in addition to other known data, such as historically low property tax (IBI) and unemployment rates.
Compliance with the financial information supply obligations to the Ministry of Finance was also valued by the mayor, who emphasized that transparency and accountability are essential for good public management.
The 2025 data continues a positive economic evolution for the Pozoblanco City Council, reinforcing its position in terms of solvency, stability, and financial sustainability, and providing a solid foundation for future strategic projects.
