The free-of-charge event served as a prelude to the intensive seminar, which will take place in several sessions between June and October. The event was attended by the Deputy of Presidency, Carlos Sánchez; the Deputy of Tourism and councilor of the Níjar City Council, María José Herrada; and Pablo Pérez de Ayala, executive director of SIPAL.
Carlos Sánchez highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Provincial Council and San Telmo to offer high-level training to the provincial business sector. This alliance responds to requests from entrepreneurs, many from the gourmet brand ‘Sabores Almería’, seeking to improve competitiveness and decision-making.
Pablo Pérez de Ayala detailed the seminar's methodology, including teamwork dynamics and in-depth case study analyses. The study areas will cover business policy, people management, cost control, taxation, and market strategies, designed to develop participants' managerial skills.
The program is designed for self-employed individuals and managers of small businesses to acquire practical tools for improving their competitiveness and sustainability. 80% of the registered companies belong to the agri-food sector. A second edition of this 'open day' will be held on May 27th in Vera.
