The University of Almería is hosting a summer course to analyze innovation in the integral water cycle, focusing on digitalization, circular economy, and water resilience, in response to current water scarcity.

The University of Almería (UAL) has launched a summer course program dedicated to innovation in the integral water cycle. This event, led by an expert in the field, is presented as a key appointment to address current challenges arising from water scarcity and ecological transition.
The course, titled Innovation in the integral water cycle from Almería, is structured over three days and focuses on modernizing the sector. It will analyze the new European regulatory framework, evaluating its technical and economic implications, and will place special emphasis on the development of biofactories, as well as the potential of desalination and reuse as fundamental strategies for resilience against drought.
Digitalization is another central pillar of this knowledge forum. It will explore the impact of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and advanced monitoring systems. The objective is to position Almería as a national benchmark in sustainable management and technological innovation in the water sector.
The program benefits from the collaboration of the Aqualia Chair. To facilitate access to this specialized training, registrations will be free during the month of May. An advance payment is required, which will be fully refunded upon completion of the course, provided that attendance at one hundred percent of the scheduled sessions is certified. All necessary information for registration is available on the official website of the University of Almería Summer Courses.
