The Business Confederation of the province of Almería, Asempal, has presented a practical guide in Almería to improve the detection and prevention of occupational risks for vulnerable groups, with the support of the Junta de Andalucía.

The document, available in Spanish, French, and Arabic, stems from the '+Seguridad –Riesgos' project, funded by the Junta de Andalucía, the Ministry of Employment, Business and Self-Employment, and the Andalusian Institute for Occupational Risk Prevention (IAPRL).
This initiative is based on the fundamental premise that exposure to occupational risks is not uniform for all workers, requiring an adapted preventive approach. The guide offers criteria to identify often overlooked vulnerability situations and provides specific guidance on how to act before these risks materialize.
Among the groups analyzed are people with disabilities, older workers, young people without work experience, pregnant women, immigrants, and members of the LGTBI community. For each, the document details factors that increase their risk exposure and preventive measures that companies can implement.
The translation into French and Arabic aims to ensure the guide is accessible to immigrant communities that are part of the province's labor force, thereby expanding its impact and usefulness. Additionally, the document reviews rights and obligations in occupational risk prevention, helping both companies and employees understand their responsibilities.
To complement its content, the guide includes practical sheets organized by sector, describing specific risks and concrete measures applicable to daily work. The ultimate goal of this Asempal publication is to foster safer, more inclusive work environments that are aware of the diversity of their members.
