The agreement, which includes a contribution of 55,000 euros from the Council, will be developed over one year and includes initiatives in key areas such as technological transfer, brand positioning, and strategic intelligence applied to the provincial productive fabric.
The president of the Council, José Antonio García Alcaina, and the president of Innovacal, David Iglesias, signed the agreement. García Alcaina explained that the agreement is based on four lines of action: strategic internationalization, applied innovation and technological transfer, networking (face-to-face and streaming sessions on sustainability and digitalization), and a strategic intelligence system.
These lines will identify priority markets, organize meeting agendas and trade missions, analyze sectoral challenges and provide solutions, as well as use the latest technologies to prepare an annual report on export trends, competitor actions, and anticipated risks.
David Iglesias, president of Innovacal, emphasized that innovation has always been a necessity for Almería's development, recalling the province's transformation over the past 70 years. He noted that the cluster brings together over a hundred auxiliary sector companies that consistently export technology through significant effort, and this agreement represents a further step to enhance their capabilities.
The initiatives will commence immediately and will be implemented throughout the one-year duration of the agreement. A joint commission with representatives from both entities will be established to monitor and ensure the fulfillment of this alliance, which aims to equip the sector with analysis tools and cooperation spaces.
