Million-euro grants for business innovation in Jaén

The Ministry of Science awards 1.6 million euros to four companies in Jaén for research and expansion projects.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has allocated 1.6 million euros in grants to four companies in the province of Jaén to promote research, innovation, and expansion projects.

The subsidies, aimed at strengthening competitiveness and fostering economic growth, have been distributed among Nutrientes Foliares S.A. (Quesada), Fábrica Jaén S.L. (capital city), Laboratorios Pedro Perales S.L. (Úbeda), and DirectedMetal 3D S.L. (Linares). The sub-delegate of the Government in Jaén, Manuel Fernández, emphasized the importance of these financial injections for the business fabric of Jaén.
Nutrientes Foliares S.A. will receive 337,437 euros for research and expansion. Fábrica Jaén S.L. will allocate 199,185 euros to a new line of high-protein cookies. Laboratorios Pedro Perales S.L. has secured the largest portion, 867,765 euros, for a digital implantology platform. Lastly, DirectedMetal 3D S.L. will use 198,138 euros to develop advanced aluminum coatings through additive manufacturing technologies.
This support line from the Spanish Government has previously benefited other companies in the province. In the last call, two Jaén-based firms received nearly 743,000 euros. Among them, Desarrollos Tecnológicos Intelec S.R.L. obtained over 478,000 euros for an intelligent multimodal system for predictive maintenance of photovoltaic plants, and Ruster Fitness S.L. received more than 135,100 euros to expand its fitness product manufacturing.
The Centre for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), under the Ministry, manages these funds, promoting innovation and technological development in Spanish companies through various financing instruments for R&D&i projects.
