The Mayor of Sanlúcar, Carmen Álvarez, met with the heads of the 'Comprar Manzanilla de Sanlúcar' project to promote and enhance the value of the city's wines worldwide.

The Mayor of Sanlúcar, Carmen Álvarez, held a meeting with Javier Velázquez and Mariano Villa, leaders of the 'Comprar Manzanilla de Sanlúcar' platform. This initiative focuses on the sale and promotion of Sanlúcar's wines, including Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso, Palo Cortado, and Brandy.
Velázquez and Villa launched the platform, available at www.comprarmanzanilladesanlucar.com, with the aim of increasing the value of the city's wines and making them accessible globally. They are convinced that Manzanilla deserves greater international recognition and that its story needs to be told and presented more effectively.
Carmen Álvarez highlighted that the project views Manzanilla not just as a wine, but as an identity, culture, and tradition of Sanlúcar. Consequently, she offered the City Council's collaboration to support the initiative. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of the project being housed at the Business Center of the CEEI Bahía de Cádiz, located within the facilities of the Confederation of Employers of the Province of Cádiz (CEC).
The Mayor emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that project the wines and the Sanlúcar brand beyond national borders. She reiterated the municipal government's commitment to continue backing diverse projects that work towards the international promotion of Manzanilla and the Sanlúcar wine sector.
