A total of 90 Intermediate Vocational Training students from the Province of Jaén have concluded their internships in companies in Italy, Poland, and Portugal, as part of the Jaén+ IX: Vocational Training with an Edge in Europe project.

The final information session for this initiative, co-funded by the Erasmus+ program and the Provincial Council of Jaén, provided career guidance to the 45 students who have just completed their training abroad. The project aims to highlight the professional opportunities that arise from these international mobilities.
This year, the project had a global budget exceeding 405,000 euros. Participants received grants ranging from 3,160 to 5,711 euros, depending on the duration of their stay, which varied between two and three months. Destination cities included Campobasso and Manfredonia in Italy, Rzeszów and Lublin in Poland, and Faro and Portimão in Portugal.
The students come from 21 municipalities and 30 educational centers in the province, training in over twenty specializations. These include commercial activities, care for dependent individuals, auxiliary nursing care, machinery electromechanics, health emergencies, administrative management, guidance in natural environments and leisure, electrical installations, laboratory operations, agroecological production, and microcomputer systems and networks, among others.
The Jaén+ initiative aims to internationalize Intermediate Vocational Training and the acquisition of Professional Certificates. The Provincial Council of Jaén, the main promoter of the project, seeks to enhance the personal, professional, and linguistic skills of students to improve their employment prospects both provincially and internationally.
